IT its 37th year of trading the Denis Brinicombe Group is making some changes at Board level.

From June 1 James Brinicombe, currently managing director of this family owned company based at Fordton Trading Estate, Crediton, will take on the role of chief executive to the group.

At the same time, Keith Greig, currently Group Commercial Manager, will be promoted to the managing director position.

Said James Brinicombe: "In 1973 my father, Denis, started this family business with an eye towards future success and so following the acquisition and integration of FSL Bells in 2002 and Lachlan MacGregor Feeds in 2008, coupled with the launch of Brinicombe Equine in 2005, his vision and forethought has resulted in us becoming the successful and respected business we are today.

"Moving to the role will enable me to concentrate more on the front end of the business and to provide a family face to our customers, as well as enabling me to take time to look at our overall strategy for the future to take the Group onto the next level.

"Keith Greig has been an integral part of the senior management team for some time. The key roles he as held over past years have given him a broad, varied and diverse experience in the overall working of the business.

"The family believe that in each of the roles he has shown commercial awareness and sound business acumen, which have seen his views and ideas gain respect from others within the Group.

"We have the confidence that Keith is very capable of taking a more controlling part in all aspects of the business on a day to day basis to successfully lead it into the future," said James
