THE Devon Association of Ringers held a Centenary Sunday Lunch at the Waie Inn, Zeal Monachorum earlier this month.

More than 70 church bellringers and guests from across the county attended to celebrate the anniversary of the formation of the Association, the first competition it organised having taken place at Zeal Monachorum Parish Church.

Guests enjoyed a sumptuous lunch, exhibition, raffle and quiz.
Chairman James Steer opened proceedings with a short speech of welcome, then Zeal Monachorum Tower Captain Margaret Down said grace.

After the meal there was a humorous and thoughtful speech from President Ian Avery, who thanked fore-ringers for their skills and dedication which have built the Association to what it is today.
Special thanks went to Linda and James for arranging such a brilliant occasion.
