Dear Flag maker,
Carry your flag in the Christmas Lights Switch On Parade - Friday 27 November 7.15pm.
The Arts Centre is planning its fourth parade to mark the switching on of the Christmas Lights and we’d like as many of your beautiful flags as possible to be part of it.
The Switch On event will start at 7pm with music and street theatre on the High Street. The parade will assemble at St Lawrence Green from 7.15pm and set off at 7.45pm, proceeding along the High Street towards the Town Square for a ceremony to switch on the town’s Christmas lights and tree. This will be followed by live music from the fabulous local band Skaper until 9pm. There will be stalls serving hot food and drinks in the square. The High Street will be closed to traffic from 7pm to 9pm.
If your business or group would like to take part in the parade, please let me know as soon as possible.
Please also tell me who will be coming to carry your flag.
This year’s parade will have a fairy tale theme and be led by a giant Pied Piper with plenty of rats in tow. If you are carrying a flag, we’d love you to wear something appropriate, even a fairy tale hat will do!
I do hope you will be able to support this special community event to launch Christmas in Crediton.
Best wishes
