THE Best Dressed Shop Window in Crediton this Christmas in the “Crediton Courier” competition, run in association with Crediton Chamber of Commerce, was Candimama, the confectionery shop at 49 High Street, Crediton.

The public were the judges this year, "Crediton Courier" readers returning the voting forms printed in the newspapers on December 7 and 14.

Tracy Tremeer, proprietor, said she was thrilled to have won the award.

“It is just the sweetest feeling to have won.

“Thank you so much to everyone who voted for my ‘Sweet Christmas Window’. Candimama is full of smiles, feel very honoured to have that trophy again.”

Tracy explained that her window display includes 200 floating feathers, a hand-made tree (created from an old pallet), with a range of other hand-made decorations.

It includes snowflakes, baubles, sweets and more and took Tracy two-and-a-half days to create.

Runner-up was the festive window at Mole Avon Town and Countrywear and in third place was Crediton Pharmacy with a lovely window.

The window at Hospiscare charity shop was awarded fourth prize.

Certificates were presented to the four businesses with the best windows.

Prizes, to third place, were donated by the “Crediton Courier”.

The winning entry was awarded the “Crediton Chamber of Commerce” Rose Bowl for the Best Dressed Window.
