EARLY in July, Tedburn St Mary Community Choir performed in concert with Crediton Town Band in the Church of the Holy Cross at Crediton to raise funds for the Dale Palmer Discretionary Trust.

Dale was Captain of Crediton Rugby Club’s Second Team and, during a match four months ago, he suffered a life-changing injury.

He is currently undergoing rehabilitation at the Spinal Injuries Centre in Salisbury and will continue to do so for some time to come.

The concert raised an amazing £2,050 and it is hoped there will be further donations made during the coming weeks and months.

Tedburn Choir will today, Friday, July 29, perform at the Minack Theatre in Cornwall from 2pm.

A major concert for the choir is to be held on Sunday, October 16 in the Northcott Theatre Exeter together with Tedburn Kidz (Key Stage 2 and 3 children from local schools), Orchard Harmony (a female A cappella group from Whimple) and featuring Semi-Toned (Exeter University’s very own award winning male Acappella group).

Proceeds from this concert will be donated to Rowcroft Hospice and although there is one sponsor for the concert, the choir would be pleased to hear of any others who would like to support this very worthwhile cause.
