GIFT shop, Boka, at 3 High Street, Crediton, is celebrating one year in business.

Owner Beka Platt has stocked the gift shop with a range of unusual and contemporary gifts and homeware at very competitive prices for any occasion including scented tin candles, pick and mix lights, wrapping paper, toiletries, scarves, retro phones, diffusers, Vegas lights, children’s toys and much more.

Beka said: “All I can remember about a year ago is being very stressed, nervous and hoping Crediton folk would love my shop as much as I do. I am so pleased you all do.

“I have been overwhelmed by the support and how many regular customers I have now.

“Even though I had been in the industry a good 10 years, prior to me actually owning my own shop, I was still not 100 per cent sure I did the right thing, but this year has proved me very wrong indeed!

She added: “I just want to say a big thank you to all my customers and for the local support and I will be giving a massive 25 per cent off absolutely everything from Saturday, September 5 for one week.

“I will also be giving a celebratory drink to each customer on Saturday, September 5 to celebrate my first year in business.

“Happy shopping and I hope BOKA will be here for many more years.”
