THE Friends of Crediton Library ran a book stall at a recent Crediton Farmers’ Market which raised £84, “an excellent result,” said Julie Maddison, chairman of the group.

Previous fundraising has meant that they could donate £100 for Lego sets at the Crediton Library which has proved a tremendous success, with around 20 children attending the after school sessions on Mondays.

Their next event is an evening presented by Robin Ravilious entitled “A Record of Country Life”, accompanied by photographs taken by her late husband, James Ravilious.

This is being held on Monday, November 28 at 7.30pm in the Library. Tickets are £5, and must be bought in advance from the library or telephone 01363 772578.
