THE Christmas bingo held at Sandford Parish Hall made a profit of £380 for hall funds.

In addition to this total a special draw was held in aid of the Children’s Hospice South West in which all prizes were donated by local businesses, members of the Hall committee and local people.

Treasurer Tony Wright told the Courier: “I am pleased to report that as a result a cheque for £331 has been sent to CHSW and on behalf of the Committee may I take this opportunity to thank everyone who donated prizes to make this draw a success.

“Also thanks to the helpers and everyone who attended.”

The next bingo evening will be held on Friday, January 15, with eyes down at 7.45pm.
