Bands to play at Crediton charity event

SPECIALIZED, an organisation which brings together amateur and professional musicians with the shared goal of creating musical projects to create income, will be holding a charity fundraising event at Buccaneers Bar in East Street, Crediton on Saturday, March 19.

The event, named Buccaneer Full, which will begin at 5pm, will include a great line up of all local bands.

Katrina Dormer, Specialized merchandise co-ordinator, said: "We are honoured to announce we have ’Hel and Courtney’ - blending unplugged rock with well-loved songs, ’Far From The Delta’ - the dirtiest of dirty blues, ’Concrete Donkey’ - original sets, powerful soul rock vocals, ’Skybourne’ with thunderous riffs and hypnotic melodies and ’SkinDeep’, a four-piece heavy rock band blending ’Nivana’ and ’Black Sabbath’, to deliver a melodic yet crashing sound.

She said money raised will be passed on to cancer research and support agencies, particularly The Teenage Cancer Trust and The National Foundation for Youth Music.

She added that this has been achieved by the production of themed albums supported by live music events across the UK.

Katrina concluded: "We look forward to bringing the Crediton community what will be a great night whilst raising money for great causes."

Entry for this event is being charged at £3 per person.
