THE Mayor of Crediton, Cllr Frank Letch, assisted by his grand-daugher, Erin Zorlu (8), presented the awards in the annual Best Crediton Allotments competition run by Crediton Town Council and the St Boniface Allotment Association.

A ceremony was held at the Crediton Council Chamber.

The results were:

Exhibition Road: 1 Mr D Prosser, 2 Mr B Jewell, 3 Mr J Talbot, highly commended Mr M Kingdom, Mr D Traill, Mr J Crean, Mr A Verney and Mrs S Bagwell.

Barnfield: 1 Mrs A Smith, 2 Mr A Stewart, 3 Mr A J Hole, highly commended Mr G Huxham, Mr A Snell, Mr R Matten and Mr N Snell.

Moffats Land: 1 Mr W Stevens, highly commended Mrs G Howison.
