DOWN St Mary Village Fayre will be held on Saturday, June 4 on the village green and in the village hall and will be opened at 1pm by Peter Craske, author of the Tarka Line Walks series of books.

Following this there will be a performance by the Hospice Choir, and at 2pm the ever-popular Entertainingly Different, with Rob Pudner, and helpers, will keep the children entertained.

There will be craft and produce stalls, a tombola, children’s fancy dress competition, bouncy castle, a “Men’s Cake Competition” and children’s cup cake contest.

It is hoped, shouts permitting, that a fire engine will also be present during the afternoon.

Refreshments will include cream teas, a barbecue and a beer tent.

Funds raised will be for the Village Hall.
