THE “Past and Presents” Antique and Collectors Fair takes place at Eggesford Garden Centre on Sunday, November 6, where there will be a varied selection of exhibitors selling everything from porcelain and china through to Victoriana and jewellery along with furniture and general collectibles.

The event, which is open from 11am to 4pm, has proven to be a real winner with customers at the garden centre, as owner Derrick Dyer explains: “The Antiques Fair is always a nice busy event. With Antiques Roadshow and Bargain Hunt always on the TV, it seems we all love to see if we can find a treasure from the past. It’s also a chance to find an unusual gift with Christmas just around the corner.”

Whether you are a serious collector or just like to keep an eye out for an unusual objects d’art, it’s well worth popping in to have a look around the fair.

In keeping with the “Past as Presents” theme, exhibitors are encouraged to decorate their stalls in a festive style so there is a real Christmas feel.

Finding an unusual present can be a bit of a challenge and this could be just the opportunity to find a Christmas gift that is different to the sort of things that you would see on the High Street.

Although smaller than many fairs, with around 25 stall-holders, the friendly atmosphere, coupled with the beautiful surroundings and shopping opportunities at Eggesford Gardens, make visiting the fair an easy choice.

With a great selection of Christmas gifts along with a wide range of Christmas decorations, lights, trees (real and artificial), wrapping paper and cards, the garden centre is a real one-stop shop for Christmas.

The Gardens Restaurant, serves a mouth-watering selection of home cooked hot and cold meals including a delicious Sunday roast.

Car parking is plentiful and entry to the event is free.
