TWO local horse riding friends, Mel Bishop and Angie Lowe, intend to climb Mount Kilimanjaro next March to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support, the charity which supports people affected by cancer.

They are organising a Valentine's Ball, at Sandford Parish Hall on Friday, February 15.

Eggesford Hunt, which they both support, are kindly running the bar during the evening and getting half the profits from doing so.

Tickets are now on sale for the event at £25 each. The ticket price includes a two-course hot meal and dancing to the local band "Cover'd".

Tickets are limited and should be booked early to avoid disappointment.
