A RETIRED Sergeant Major in Crediton has made a one metre tall Poppy which will be auctioned on eBay for 10 days, to raise funds for the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal.

Andy Burrows, who left Crediton in 1993 to join the Army returned to the town last year and set up his own business, AB Tiling, where he works as a professional tiler.

The Poppy Andy made is set on 20mm thick marble and is covered in mosaic tiles. It can be placed either inside or outdoors.

South West Galvanisers kindly made the base for free and the tiles were donated by Topps Tiles of Exeter.
