ON Tuesday, May 3, Imogen Hallam will be giving an illustrated talk on bees to members of Sustainable Crediton in the Meadow Suite at Lords Meadow Leisure Centre in Crediton, beginning at 7.30pm.

Imogen explained: "Join us for an evening talk introducing the topic of honey bees and their lifecycle, the plants they love and some of their fascinating ways.

“I’ve been keeping bees for more than four seasons now and the craft and the creatures fascinate me more and more as time goes on. In beekeeping terms I am a relative novice; it seems one needs to be with bees for at least 10 years to be anything of an expert.

“I am the Exeter swarm co-ordinator this year and who knows I may have some interesting anecdotes and tales of swarm catching to tell as the year progresses. The talk is given with pictures and diagrams to help you learn."
