HAVING read in the Courier (February 6), that the Moore family are now giving up the garage to another well-known family, I would like to wish them all the best for the future. Over the years under the management of Mr D Moore, the family has helped a lot of people in Crediton and surrounding districts. In the old days John was always available to attend breakdowns, assisting customers with their problems, letting people gain access to the store's for spare parts and fuel, sometimes very late at night. Christine running a taxi service around the surrounding area has also been helpful. David also helped a lot of people with flats and housing to get them started, and also allowed people time to pay if they were struggling to pay their bills. It has been a pleasure and privilege to have worked with the family. They will be a very hard act to follow. Mr P Peters Drogheda Bondleigh North Tawton
