SPANNING the last 40 years the Courier’s pages have featured literally thousands of local faces. Our archive contains many hundreds of negatives stretching back to the mid-1970s.
We thought it would be a treat to share some of these images with you all to remind you of ‘The good old days’.
We have created an 84 page, A5, full colour book which looks back at some of the highlights of the decades, with Carnivals, special visitors and sports teams, and also includes pictures from the 1800s, early 1900s, 1940s and 1950s.
This book hopes to share just a tiny percentage of the work the Courier has done, and remind the readers about the way the town was and how things have changed.
We hope you enjoy flicking through the pages and reminiscing about the past, seeing people in their youth and recognising events you may have taken part in yourself.
Through our pages we provide an historic record of local events and provocative topics for our readers, we delight in reporting and sharing them.
Our ethos is: Your news, your views, your faces, your places. We have been working to this ethos for more than 40 years; long may it continue.
The book will be launched at the Crediton Parish Church Christmas Tree Festival on Saturday December 3.
