THE results are in and it was the window at A E Lee (Outfitters) in Crediton High Street which was voted as creating the Best Dressed Coronation Shop or Business Window.

Crediton Courier best dressed window competition.

Simon Lee, proprietor, created a magnificent window display, which was a fitting tribute to mark the occasion of the King’s Coronation.

It was multi-faceted with Royal family references, scrapbooks, pictures and so much more.

His window received the most votes in the “Crediton Courier” run competition.

He received a certificate of congratulation from Alan Quick, Editor, “Crediton Courier” and a hamper prize from Crediton Morrisons Community Champion Hazel Evely.

The window which took second place was that created at florists, Divine Flowers.

One feature of the window display was a Union flag created in flowers.

Divine Flowers received a voucher and goodies from sponsor Crediton Dairy and a certificate and Coronation Teddy Bear from the “Crediton Courier”.

There were also two Highly Commended Awards, which went to Crediton Card Centre and Once Read Book Shop for their displays.

They both received Coronation tins of biscuits.
