SEVEN fire crews from across Mid and North Devon, including from Crediton, South Molton, Braunton, Combe Martin, Lynton, Barnstaple and Ilfracombe, attended a barn fire overnight of Monday and Tuesday, May 12 and 13.
The fire service was called to attend at 9.27pm on the Monday after several reports of black fire in the Benton Road area of Bratton Fleming.
Crews used six sets of breathing apparatus, three hose reel jets, four thermal imaging cameras, one gas monitor and one triple extension ladder to put out the fire.
A barn measuring 50x50 metres was 50 per cent damaged by smoke and fire and there was 100 per cent damage to vehicles parked within it.
The fire was deemed accidental.
