CREDITON Police is taking action regarding anti-social behaviour in the town.

In a statement, the police said: “It has become apparent that over a period of weeks a number of incidents of anti-social behaviour have been having a negative impact on the children of our town.

“These incidents relate to a small minority that are causing distress to others.

“In order to work together to keep our town safe, we are asking that if you see something, please report it.

“We understand it is not always easy or safe to intervene in a situation but at the earliest opportunity, and from a safe place, please contact us so that we can deal with it appropriately and get support in place where it is needed.

“If the incident has passed we still need to know what has happened in order to put vital safeguarding support in place or deal with offences.

“Please be assured that we are working with partner agencies to deal with the situation and welcome any information that may help us further.

“If there is a crime taking place please call 999.
