FIRE crews had to rescue two drivers trapped in each of their vehicles which were involved in a collision on a road at Mariansleigh, between Witheridge and South Molton.

Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service were called to attend at 6.22pm on Friday, January 23.

On arrival, the fire crews from South Molton and Witheridge got to work with Police and Ambulance in rescuing both casualties using hydraulic cutting equipment and small tools.

One male and one female were rescued and taken into the hands of paramedics and air ambulance crew.
