A CAR overturned on the road from Yeoford to Punchbowl Recycling Centre this morning, Friday, October 9.

Two cars met but one mounting a bank slowly tipped over, fortunately both cars not colliding.

The car which overturned is believed to be a write off and its air bags went off.

The occupant was able to get out of the upside down vehicle unscathed.

Police closed the road in each direction and vehicle removal was taking place just before 12 noon.

Police confirmed that the road would be opened imminently.
