SUSTAINABLE Crediton is delighted to invite everyone to this year’s Craft Swap, taking place on Saturday, October 31, from 12.30pm to 3pm at the Boniface Centre, Crediton.
This popular community event brings people together to share materials, spark creativity, and enjoy a relaxed afternoon of connection and wellbeing.
What is Happening at the Craft Swap 2026?
The Craft Swap is all about making sustainable choices in a friendly, welcoming space. Here’s what you’ll find on the day:
• Give & Take Textile & Craft Exchange — Clear out your craft stash or discover something new. Take items if you’d like, but there’s absolutely no need to take anything along in order to take something home. Just go along, browse, and enjoy.
• A warm, community atmosphere — A chance to slow down, connect, and enjoy creativity without overspending as we head toward the festive season.
• Lions Collection Stall — Donate old spectacles, hearing aid batteries, and bras to support Lions’ recycling initiatives.
• Christmas Jumper Rail — Browse for a preloved jumper or take one to pass on.
• Tea, coffee, and homemade cakes — Because no community event is complete without them.
The Craft Swap is free to attend, and everyone is welcome — whether you’re a seasoned crafter, a curious beginner, or simply someone who enjoys community events.
A Word from Sustainable Crediton
Lesley Thomas, member of Sustainable Crediton’s Core Group, says: “The Give and Take Exchange is about more than swapping craft materials — it’s about building a creative community that values sustainability. By sharing fabrics, tools, and inspiration, we’re reducing waste and giving new life to materials that might otherwise be discarded.
“It’s a simple yet powerful way to show that creativity and environmental responsibility can go hand in hand.”
