FIRE crews from Tiverton, Bampton, Cullompton, Crediton and Withering have today, Saturday, May 17, been dealing with a fire at a retail/public assembly premises at Tiverton.
Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service was first alerted to the incident at 10.05am.
Crews cut away insulation and were dampening it down and removing it to the open air.
A two-pump relief crew was mobilised at 2pm.
The latest report from the Fire Service is that the incident is still ongoing.

• FINAL UPDATE: Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue have confirmed that it was a fire in a single storey building measuring 30m x 15m.
The service said that fire was located in the roof of the building but was out on arrival and smouldering.
Crews cut away insulation material and dampened down hotspots.
Equipment used was a hose reel jet, a reciprocating saw, a triple extension ladder and small tools.
The cause is believed to be accidental.
