THE Tarka Line between Exeter and Barnstaple is currently blocked due to a fallen tree on the tracks near Crediton.

It comes amid inclement weather from Storm Austen. Disruption is expected until the end of the day.

“Specialist teams are on site working to remove the tree as quickly and safely as possible, but while the work takes place, GWR are unable to operate a service along this line,” said a spokesperson.

Customers can use their tickets at no extra cost on Stagecoach buses 5, 5A, 5B and 5C.

Replacement buses have been requested but there is “very limited availability”.
