DEVON and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service was alerted to a vehicle on fire on the outskirts of Chulmleigh at 7.43pm on Saturday, July 26.

Fire Control immediately mobilised a crew from South Molton.

The fire was located within the cab of the vehicle and the crew successfully extinguished the fire using one hose reel jet, small tools and a thermal image camera.

The cause of the fire was accidental.

The incident was closed at 9.07pm that evening.
