THE Bishop of Plymouth, the Rt Rev Nick McKinnel, and Rev Helen Drever, Crediton Benefice Curate, led a Thanksgiving Service at Crediton Parish Church to mark the 75th Anniversary of the Trefoil Guild.

It was attended by members from branches across the county as well as senior county representatives, guests and members of the Crediton branch.

Honoured guests included Lady Clinton, the Patron of Girlguiding Devon, Chris Foster, County chair, Lynn Dixon, assistant County Commissioner, Girlguiding and Rosemary Howell, vice president, Trefoil Guild, Chris Tozer, SW Region Trefoil President and Meg Hawthorn, County President.

A cake cutting ceremony and afternoon tea took place in the Boniface Centre after the service.

Trefoil Guild is open to anyone over the age of 18 who has been a member of Girlguiding UK or the Scout Association or who makes the Guide promise. Affiliate Membership is open to anyone over the age of 18 who has not made the Guide or Scout promise but who subscribes to the aims of the two Associations. There is no upper age limit.
