A SPECIAL event will be held at the Waie Inn, Zeal Monachorum to celebrate the 36th anniversary of the opening of the public house.

The annual charity lunch will take place on Wednesday, July13, in aid of Freewheelers Emergency Volunteer Service Blood Bikes and Bow Medical Practice.

The event will start at 12 noon with the opening of the bring-and-buy stalls (cakes, plants, books etc) and lunch will be served from 12.30pm.

This will include a main course, dessert and tea or coffee.

Tickets, priced at £12, must be booked in advance by calling the Waie Inn on 01363 82348.

Last year more than 150 people attended and there will again be a bumper draw.

Over the years the charity lunch events have raised tens of thousands of pounds for local and national charities.
