CREDITON History and Museum Society has unveiled its new exhibition at Crediton Museum.
It is entitled “A History of Crediton Area in 21 Objects”.

The exhibition was conceived, researched and written by the Society’s late chairman and historian, Tony Gale.
It includes many fascinating items, some of which were found during the excavations for the Peddlarspool development.

This includes flints and a Quern stone, used to grind flour, lent by the RAMM in Exeter.
There is a model of an owl, linked to Goddess Minerva, details of the 739 Charter, the Crediton Hoard, the Musical Stone and so much more.

The exhibition is open from 10am to 4pm Wednesday to Friday and 11am to 2pm on Saturdays until October 31.
It is free entry, donations welcome.
