THE 10th Crediton Food & Drink Festival, held last weekend , Saturday, June 9 and Sunday 10, was a huge success.

The ever popular festival took place on Crediton Town Square and along Market Street and being the 10th anniversary it was bigger and better than ever!

Founder and organiser of Crediton Food & Drink Festival, Tim Harris said: "What a fantastic weekend!

"Thank you to everyone who came to the Food Festival and helped to make it such a brilliant weekend.

"It is Community events like this that make Crediton such a great place to be!

"A huge thank you to the amazing team of volunteers who work so hard, not only over the weekend itself, but throughout the year to make the festival what it is!"

On the Saturday the festival welcomed a range of local chefs and food producers who ran cookery demonstrations in the main marquee.

A wide range of stalls showcased food and drink from local producers on the Town Square and along Market Street offering a chance to buy and eat on the spot or to take home.

Over the weekend, alongside the food and drink there was entertainment from the fabulous Sandford Mummers, The Turning Tides Project and Sandford Singers.

The Festival also featured a draw on both Saturday and Sunday with prizes featuring hampers of produce from the various stalls which were represented at the event.

The Festival opened again for the evening with live music in the marquee, from the energetic Yella Bellies and the Moonshine Seranaders both familiar to festival goers from previous years.

Joining the festival for the first time was the uptempo gypsy jazz band the Glen Hawkins Trio.

On the Sunday the Festival continued with the Big Sunday Lunch – which offered the chance to buy and/or bring food to share and catch up with friends whilst listening to music from the Moon Jazz House Band.
