TWO young people, a brother and sister from Yeoford, competing in the National Pony Club Championships for the first time this year came home with big rosettes each.

Eleven-years-old Molly Loosemore won the Devon and Cornwall winter league, her nine-years-old brother, William, came sixth.

Molly then went on to compete in the national championships in which she came ninth in Great Britain and Ireland out of 50 competitors.

This meant pistol shooting, a 1,000 metre run and swimming as far as possible in two minutes. Both are members of the Silverton Pony Club and attend Yeoford Primary School.
