THE extraordinarily talented show jumping legend Geoff Billington will be headlining this year’s Westcountry Equine Fair - and is returning by popular demand!

The event promises to be an action-packed two days with a fabulous line-up of equestrian stars featuring in the indoor arena and outdoor marquee covered arena and incredible shopping opportunities “for the horse, for the rider and for Christmas”.

It will provide horse enthusiasts of all ages, levels and disciplines with a full schedule of exciting entertainment during the two days and will take place at Westpoint, near Exeter on Saturday and Sunday, December 3 and 4.

Geoff Billington has a wealth of experience, which he will showcase in his master classes at the event. Riding since the age of 11 Geoff has represented Great Britain in European and World Show jumping competitions and the Olympics.

Ed Chanin, a top para dressage rider, who lives near Thorverton, will be riding My Rubicon and demonstrating how he battled severe injury to compete at National and International level, representing Great Britain as an open individual and also competing in British Dressage able bodied competitions up to medium level.

The pony club horse and hound show jumping challenge (sponsored by Livery Dole and Every’s), the Junior show jumping competition (sponsored by Red Post Equestrian), Showing classes, Sirona Therapeutic Horsemanship and Horseback Falconry are just a few of the other attractions at the show this year.

In addition to the unrivalled entertainment, the show will also feature a dedicated shopping village with more than 200 companies offering helpful advice and great show offers on thousands of products for horse and rider including many big name brands.

The event, now in its 20th year, is pleased to announce that four Pony Club teams will be taking part this year: Axe Vale, Devon and Somerset; East Cornwall and Silverton.

The clubs will compete against each other in the fast-paced and thrilling competition, the Pony Club Horse and Hound Show Jumping Challenge.

This is certainly the total equestrian experience for the dedicated rider!
