CREEDY Lakes fishery in Crediton has seen no huge bags during the last week but there has been catches of 10 fish during one session which included one weighty common which tipped the scales to 26lbs 6oz and several new PB catches.
Best bag for the week came from Wayne Davey who chose to fish the swim by the aerator on the right-hand bank.
He enjoyed action throughout the day and had some super sport with his top three catches all more than 20lbs in weight and topped with a 22lbs 8oz.
Crediton angler Kev Waldron fished at the top of the left-hand bank in shallower water regions and he really enjoyed his down time from work banking a total of three carp. Topping his bag was a nice well-proportioned common which scaled 17lbs in weight.
Silverton angling family Wayne and Robin Tooze had some nice sport fishing at the top end of right bank. Wayne managed to land three good upper doubles weighing 21lbs 4oz, 19lbs 4oz and 18lbs 6oz.
Robin just went for quality and managed to pip Wayne’s best catch when his common weighed in at 22lbs 14oz – a great result.
Angling mate, Tobias Jefferson, also enjoyed several bends in the rods with three common carp catches which weighed 10lbs, 13lbs 2oz and 16lbs 12oz.
Up in the top lake the Collins family, from Copplestone, came back for another session together and once again they had great fun and some new PB’s.
Dylan managed to get a pb twice in one day. After his last visit, setting the bar at 8lbs, he went on this week to bank three fish including an 11lbs 2oz followed by an 11lbs 12oz.
Lewis Collins had one heavier of 13lbs 4oz and then dad, Drew, had a nice mid-double which scaled 15lbs 12oz – so making it fair across the family action and a great day out again.
