SATURDAY, April 23 saw Crediton Youth FC U16’s play their final ever Exeter and District Youth League fixture.

They made the short journey to take on Copplestone United Sharks.

Despite going a goal down they came back to run out 3-1 winners.

Goals from Kieran Crump, Matt Hartshorne and an absolute cracker from Charlie Lancelles saw them finish their season with another three points.

A busy weekend for the U13’s saw two away fixtures.

First up was Exeter Panthers, where they returned with a 5-2 victory with Rhys Ebdy getting four goals and Zach Mildon completing the scoring.

It was a longer trek to Colyton the following day.

This time it was a 6-2 win with a Rhys Ebdy hat-trick, two from Zach Mildon and Ollie Baker goal securing the points.

Another home win for the U12’s against Central Grecians.

Goals from Seb Roche with three and doubles from Jake Shepherd and Billy Dymond gave them a 7-0 victory.

The U11’s were away at Brixington Blues.

Hayden Richardson Miller getting the only goal of the game to clinch the Crediton win.

It was a tough day at Westexe for the U9’s, who lost two, won one and drew one.

Goals on the day were from Will Manns with four, Jacob Jones, Luke Beetlestone and Ollie Dallyn with two each, and further goals from Finn Moore and Joseph Charlesworth.

It was another fine morning for the U8’s at home against Exeter Panthers with four wins. Freddie Huber and Dexter Hughes getting the player of the match awards.

The big game at Lords Meadow saw the U13 girls cup semi-final against Torquay United Community Sports Yellows.

The Crediton girls went into the game as underdogs.

Two early goals from Chloe Curtis and Ruby Turner saw them go two in front, before Torquay pulled things back level just before half-time.

The Torquay girls proved too strong in the second half and eventually ran out 5-2 winners.

It was an away game at Buckland Athletic for the U11 girls. Not their day, as they went down 3-0.

The U10’s had another 9v9 friendly at home against Abbotskerswell which the visitors won 3-2.

Oliver Brimilcombe and a Ryan Ebdy penalty getting the Creddy goals.

It was another match day for the U7’s who had three wins and one defeat against Twyford Spartans.
