DOWNES Crediton seniors played a three Player Texas Scramble on Monday, March 7 and across the field there was some impressive scoring. Leading the way though was the trio of Nick Bromell, Rick Eidam and Dennis Wright who scored an impressive nett 58 (12 under) one shot clear of the second placed team Andrew Chandler, Martin Howe and Mark Walker (nett59). Steve Gidley, David Moss and Robin Tooze (nett59) finished third.

On Thursday, March 10, Anne Woodger scored 35 points to win this week’s Ladies Stableford whilst also topping Division One. Ying Wong finished second posting 27 points.

In Division Two June Mitchell was victorious with Susan Bonner finishing second.

Downes members played a pairs stableford and in a close run affair that saw five teams score 44 points the pair of Gerry Tomlinson and Neil Bishop took the victory by virtue of a best back nine holes on Saturday, March 9.

Paul Conabeare and Wayne Moore (44pts) finished second whilst Adam Hull and Tim Keehner (44pts) ran in third.
