THERE was outstanding success for the Plymouth Inn darts team in the Rotary Club of Crediton Boniface 2018 Sponsored Darts Challenge, after it was presented with three awards at a recent presentation evening.

The challenge consists of a teams at various venues, during a two-hour period in one evening, attaining the highest score.

The Plymouth Inn team was the Mens Team winner and team member Bob Moss raised the most sponsorship, meaning he received the Highest Sponsored Individual award.

Mr Yarnold said he was pleased that the annual challenge always had a good turnout of teams taking part from the Crediton area and added that he was pleased that it was helping to keep the pubs going in these economic times.

He explained that more than £1,350 had been raised by the 10 teams which took part this year and also thanked Ernest Jackson Ltd for match-funding which helped to boost the total.

The Mixed Team award went to The Mitre team and others taking part included Newton St Cyres Recreation Club, Waterbridge Golf Course, Claremont Marquees, New Inn Old Boys, New Inn Young Ones, Ernest Jackson, Duke of York and Bow YFC.
