IT was another victory for Crediton Youth U12s as they took on Ottery St Mary at Lords Meadow.

They edged out their visitors 2-1, but missed chances nearly cost them.

Jac Caruana and Luis Matthews scored the goals for Crediton.

The U11s Plate competition adventure came to an end at Axminster in the quarter-final tie. Despite going ahead twice they eventually lost out 3-2.

Casey Philp and Daniel Southall were on target for them in the first half, but they could just not find the back of the net in the second half.

Back in action were the U9’s away at Dawlish. It was three wins and one defeat for them.

Special mention goes to the players of the day, Ben Whedal, Noah Pugsley, Oscar Matthews and Oscar Smith.

The U7s took part in a mini tournament at St Martin’s where both teams gave great performances with lots of wins, and a couple of draws and defeats.

Sunday saw the top two sides in the U12 girls league, go head-to-head in the league cup quarter-final.

It was always going to be a tight game at Lords Meadow, but unfortunately it was Exmouth United who came out on top of a thrilling game 3-2.

It was disappointment as well for the U10 girls who also went out of the cup competition to Exmouth United.

The Crediton girls held their own for sometime before Exmouth ramped up the pressure and progressed to the next round.
