A YEAR 9 pupil is celebrating showjumping success after representing Queen Elizabeth’s School, in Crediton, at the NSEA Championship Plate held at Keysoe, Bedfordshire.

Harry Robinson and his pony Bee (Wendy’s Busy Bee) qualified at Bicton in September. At Keysoe Harry was the second to last rider to go in the 80cm Class with only the top eight combinations reaching the final competition held that evening where Harry was placed eighth.

Harry, who said he had a fabulous weekend, was also placed 14th in the 70cm Plate Final and seventh in the scurry class.

The NSEA aims to promote and encourage the participation in, and recognition of, equestrian sport within schools in Great Britain.

Pupils can represent their school at equestrian competitions throughout the country in disciplines including dressage, show jumping, arena eventing (“jumping with style”), one-day events, hunter trials and tetrathlons.

They take place at local, county, regional and national level. For more information visit: www.nsea.org.uk .
