From the kick-off Crediton got into their stride forcing the away side to defend.
Young “Ford” keeper Jed Mussel was kept busy.
In only his second league start for the club he is playing like a veteran. Crediton seemed to be getting on top when on a “Ford” attack left winger, Chris Hawkes fired a shot in towards the home goal which went in just under the angle, making the score 0-1 to Sandford.
From this point the away side came more and more into it, with end-to-end play, but Crediton could not find the equaliser.
From a Sandford corner, young Danny Carroll made it 0-2.
Sandford was now taking command of a game totally different from the first quarter.
At half-time, the score was Crediton 0 Sandford 2.
The second half started with the away side really full of confidence pressing on looking for more goals.
Crediton chances were now getting less, those they had did not trouble the young keeper much.
On 52 minutes a corner to Sandford resulted in the ball being headed home by centre-back Tyler Morgan-Hugget, his first for the club, making it 0 - 3 to Sandford.
Then three minutes later came another corner to Sandford, the other centre-back Harry Stoneman tapped the ball home to make it 0-4 to Sandford.
This was Harry’s first goal for the club as well.
The away side was really buzzing now, but Crediton was still dangerous, and in a lax moment they got one back, making the score 1-4 to Sandford.
As the game came to an end, substitute Steven Dymond put the ball into the side netting.
At the final whistle the score read Crediton 1 Sandford 4.
A brilliant game on a lovely night.
