AFTER two month’s without a game the U15’s returned to action with their cup quarter final against Seaton Town being played at the Axminster artificial pitch.

A Luis Matthews goal saw them end the first half 1-0 up against one of Division One’s top sides.

Seaton upped their game in the second half and ran out 4-1 winners in the driving rain.

Sunday also saw two Crediton Youth FC sides get some game time.

The U9 girls played a friendly games against Axminster. The first game ended in a goalless draw.

The second ended in a narrow defeat with the visitors scoring late on to edge out the Crediton girls after Reina Greaves had scored for the home side. Robyn Moxey taking the player of the day award.

It was a rather bizarre game for the U15 girls away at North Molton.

Perhaps, it was the shock of the game actually taking place, that saw the Crediton girls fall 6-0 down part way through the first half. Olivia Mills grabbed two goals to see them go into the interval at 6-2.

The second half saw a tremendous team performance and another two goals from Olivia and a wonder strike from Amelia Gorska saw the score go to 6-5.

Just as it looked like the equaliser was going to come, it was the hosts who broke away to extend their lead.

The heavy pitch and lack of game time took its toll, and momentum swung to the North Molton girls as they eventually ran out 10-5 winners.
