MANY rugby players, once they hang their boots up, only ever get to watch games from the sidelines - but at Crediton Rugby Football Club, things have just changed.
With support from England Rugby and Active Devon, every Friday night starting at 6pm the club has started offering Walking Rugby.
Walking Rugby is a totally non-contact version of the game that is open to either gender and requires no previous experience of playing.
There are guidelines but they can be adapted to the type of players and experience of those taking part.
It is a great way to stay fit and mobile and, even more importantly, enjoy the social benefits that playing rugby is renowned for.
The sessions are free and open to anyone interested in having some fun and making new friends.
Age is no barrier (the oldest player to attend so far was 76 and thoroughly enjoyed taking part).
Everyone is welcome.
