CREDITON RFC 2ND XV 19 v 67 HONITON RFC 1ST XV

WE welcomed Honiton to Blagdon and, despite a slow start that saw the visitors score a couple of early tries, we gradually found some rhythm and began putting phases together. By sticking to our systems and enjoying some good spells of possession, we worked our way back into the game and were rewarded with two well-taken tries before the break.

The second half proved a tougher challenge as Honiton increased the pressure and made the most of space out wide, scoring several tries through some clinical attacking rugby.

To our credit, we kept battling and never let our heads drop, continuing to work hard for each other until the final whistle. That determination was rewarded with a third try late on, giving us something to show for our efforts.

While the result wasn't what we were looking for, there were plenty of positives to take from our periods of possession and attacking play, and we'll look to build on those as the season progresses.

Scorers: Tries – Jacob Robinson, Joe Stanbury, Jordan Pring; Conversions: James Dodge (2).
