A SIGNED Exeter Chiefs shirt will be among the lots up for grabs in a festive charity auction being held in support of Devon’s local sight-loss charity.

The shirt signed by the full squad (with 60 signatures) is among a host of lots which will go under the hammer at a gala Christmas dinner at Sandy Park, the home of the Exeter Chiefs, on Friday, December 6.

Graham Barton, star of BBC TV’s “Homes Under The Hammer”, will also be auctioning golf days, works of art, dining experiences and an exclusive day at the races courtesy of the Jockey Club, among many other items.

Tickets are still available for the black-tie gala dinner which includes a Champagne Reception and a three-course meal prepared by Sandy Park’s head chef and his team.

Devon in Sight’s Chief Executive Officer Grahame Flynn said: “The signed shirt has to be the ultimate Christmas present for any Chiefs fan! Signatures include England World Cup Squad players Henry Slade, Jack Nowell and Luke Cowan-Dickie.

“We’re incredibly grateful to the Chiefs and everyone else who is supporting us by offering prizes, and of course to Graham Barton for agreeing to conduct what promises to be an amazing auction.

“As a charity we have been supporting people with sight loss in Devon for almost a century – next year we will be marking our 95th anniversary.

“Each year we help hundreds of people living with sight loss, providing free practical advice and support services so they can live life to the full. We have a network of amazing volunteers across Devon, and it’s good to know that so many other people and organisations are willing to help us out with such fantastic prizes.”
