CREDITON RFC U16s took on a 190-mile marathon in Crediton Town Square on Saturday, September 19.

The team set themselves the cycling and rowing challenge target on static cycles and rowing machines, the distance from Crediton to Twickenham in West London, where they will be touring later in the season.

Starting before 9am, the squad smashed it, covering an incredible 219 miles in four hours.

The static bikes and rowing equipment were kept in constant motion as the boys powered through relentless miles.

Funds raised will directly support travel and accommodation, local matches they will compete in, a tour of Twickenham, tickets to a Premiership ruby fixture and much more, including a trip to Thorpe Park.

The boys thank all who donated and Lords Meadow Leisure Centre for supporting the cause by lending two static bikes.
