A CHEQUE for £535 was presented to Rob Johnstone, Devon Air Ambulance Safety Manager, before the start of last Saturday’s game (September 2) at Crediton Rugby Club.
Handed over by Club chairman Liz Goodman, the funds were raised at the Seniors’ end of season dinner and awards presentation evening.
Rob is also coach for the club’s U16s.
The DAA map shows night landing sites that are now operational and those in progress. The website gives full information on activities and fundraising.
Welcoming everyone at the start of the afternoon, Liz said work had continued at the rugby club through the summer.
The grounds were looking first class with amenities and extra parking now at the river pitch. All the catering this year is by Vanessa Nuthall.
Liz added that the season starts with every First team player sponsored for the first time, warm-up shirts and hoodies had been sponsored by Dave Pollard and Terry Leach.
She thanked the many match day sponsors and match ball sponsors both local businesses and individuals, to whom she and the club were very grateful.
