CREDITON Rugby Football Club Ladies "Cougars" met for their first end of season catch up and meal at The Three Little Pigs in Crediton.
Ellen Pearce had been unable to attend the recent presentation evening, so was awarded the trophy for “Player of the Year” at the meal.
She recently joined Emma Bolt “Players Player” and Lorriane Harris “Most improved” on the Rugby Club steps for a photograph, being the first ever trophy winners for the newly-formed Crediton Ladies team.
The ladies shared stories of the highs and lows of the first season and planned for their next.
They have several matches in the diary and will hold a First Aid training day, and a new hoodie to match their training and playing kit is in the design stage.
Following a well-earned short break, the ladies intend to get back to fitness, with a “boot camp” every Wednesday for six weeks, from tomorrow, Wednesday, June 20 to Wednesday, July 25, from 6.30pm to 7.30pm, at the club.
All are welcome to attend, men and woman (16+), and the invitation means bring partners and friends, the more the merrier.
