A BUMPER crowd attended the recent local derby between Crediton United and Exwick Villa, held at Lords Meadow, Crediton.

Crediton United decided to make the evening match a benefit game in aid of the Devon Air Ambulance Trust in memory of Samuel Crocker.

Players from Crediton Youth Under 8's and 9's were mascots for the Crediton players as they entered the pitch prior to kick off.

A bucket collection was made by the Under 12's at half-time, whilst the Under 7's to 11's did various shoot outs on the pitch.

This gave many of the younger players their first chance to appear on the main pitch and under floodlights.

It also gave the club the chance to showcase the junior age groups of which it is immensely proud.

All the junior players received an Easter egg and the younger players a medal for taking part.

A total of £450 was collected and raised for the charity
