CREDITON Bowling Club men’s teams are on a fantastic run.

The Men’s two fours won 29-26 against Topsham so the next round is the semi-finals of Devon where they will face United Services Barnstaple.

National Top Club team won 4-1 against Exonia and now go forward to the Devon semi-finals.

In the County Trophy the men beat Exonia 116-69 and are currently top of the league.

Mixed

Tony Alcock (Over 60’s two rinks) beat Topsham 40-24.

They play the semi-finals of Devon against Madeira on Saturday, June 24 at 10am at Madeira.

Ladies

Amy Bond played in the Amy Rose Bowl (Devon under 31s) last weekend beating Somerset and then Warwickshire.

This means that Devon has qualified for the semi-finals of England which will be played at the national finals at Leamington in August.

Crediton Ladies have two teams that play in the Exeter Ladies League. Unfortunately the visitors triumphed 4-2 on the day.

Over 60s Men

The week saw a real mixed bag of results. Having gone on such an unbeaten run the A team suffered a second consecutive defeat with a thumping 8-0 defeat away to Topsham Blue.

It was a similar outcome for Crediton C at home to Topsham White. Fortunately the B team toppled league leaders Morchard Bishop 6-2 to bring some cheer to the afternoon activities.

It has been a really busy week for the friendlies with a great deal of success enjoyed by those who have turned out.

Victories over Bradninch by 66-53, Belmont 73-58, Chudleigh by 117-63 and Hatherleigh by 83-65 were only overshadowed by one defeat at the hands of Heavitree, by 86-81.

To get almost 100 individuals to play in such a short time deserves great praise to all those who turned out on more than one occasion.
