BEST fish landed at Creedy Lakes in Crediton last week was caught by Martin Tickner of Crediton.

He tempted out a new personal best catch when he landed his specimen common which tipped the scales at 26lbs 1oz. Martin fished at the top of the right bank casting out into mid to shallower water depths.

Another local man, Kevin Waldron, enjoyed his success when he tempted out a common carp which gave him a new pb catch. His fish, which scaled 23lbs 8oz, was tempted whilst fishing two-thirds of the way up on the right bank.

Kevin only got back into angling about a month ago after a short break of about 20 years! Well done Kevin, hopefully the pastime will be a relaxing hobby for you away from a busy job.

Crediton angler Alvin King continues a good season and last week saw him banking three good doubles. His fish tipped the scales to 18lbs 15oz, 18lbs 9oz and 17lbs respectively.
