BROTHERS Freddie (Year 6 at East Worlington Primary School) and William (Year 8 at Chulmleigh Community College) Barlow, members of the Dulverton West Pony Club, have recently qualified for the Pony Club Triathlon National Finals.

The triathlon involves three disciplines: pistol shooting, swimming and cross country running, so consistency in all three phases is essential to qualify.

The brothers are in different age categories and will compete against the top 50 boys from other pony clubs across the country, in the final which is held in Milton Keynes in March this year.

In preparation for the final, the boys have increased their training with Tiverton Swimming Club and practice the shooting phase at home, with regular runs in the morning before school.
